Who's this little doggie in the window? Following the new Puppy Mill Pipeline Law, which prohibits the sale of animals at retail pet stores, Petfinder takes over the MTA with a new version of window shopping to encourage New Yorkers to start adopting. Starting with 34th Street, now renamed "Pet Station," adoptable animals will be featured in the windows of subway cars, along with a tag to directly adopt that pet.
Fun fact! Every pet shown in this project is a real pet from Petfinder that is looking for a home.

The New York City MTA has banned non-service animals from the subway unless they fit in a container and are carried in a way that doesn’t annoy other riders, so may New Yorkers carry a bag with their pet in it. Petfinder decided to help those who forget a bag.
